Sangha: Fellow Traveler
SANGHA: FELLOW TRAVELER
Suzhou, China
Sangha, a pedestrian oriented live-work-learn community focused on helping people learn to live well (physically, emotionally, and socially), is a 46-acre development located on Yangcheng Lake, a UNESCO world heritage site on the periphery of Suzhou, China, that features single-family residences, apartments, hotels, a medical clinic, an East/West wellness center, a food hall and food markets, a conference/learning center, a childhood learning center, and an innovation gallery among numerous other components.
One of Sangha’s key components is the Fellow Traveler hotel. Fellow Traveler provides lodging for guests who are attracted to the Life Learning Center’s programs. Although room rates are lower than those of the At One Hotel, Fellow Traveler guests will enjoy many of the same amenities. The interiors are designed with the same approach to open plan, technologies and materials, and with equally abundant natural light. On the lobby floor are: two, long wooden communal tables wired for laptops and other technologies, a bar, and a lounge area of sofas and ottomans that invite flexible co-working.
